Hyrox is the global standard for functional fitness racing — 8×1km runs broken up by 8 brutal workout stations. We built Calicut's first Hyrox-spec training arena and sent our first squad to Hyrox Bangalore. Whether you're chasing a sub-90 finish or just curious what one feels like, the FT60 Hyrox program will put you on the start line ready.

A Hyrox race is a 1-kilometre run, then a station, then another run, then another station — eight times. Sub-90 minutes is the elite mark. Sub-2-hours is a real achievement. We train every one of these in the warehouse.

/02HOW WE TRAIN

THE FT60 HYROX PLAYBOOK.

01

FOUNDATIONS
(Weeks 1–4)

Aerobic base + station familiarity. Three sessions a week. Build the engine, learn each station's movement pattern. No race pace yet — just clean reps and consistent breathing.

  • Zone 2 runs (3–6km @ conversational pace)

THRESHOLD
(Weeks 5–8)

Pace work + chained station blocks. We stitch 2–3 stations together with runs in between, building the ability to recover at the trot. This is where most members feel the breakthrough.

  • 4×500m run intervals @ race pace
  • Chained drills: SkiErg → run → sled push
  • Lactate threshold testing

RACE PREP
(Weeks 9–12)

Mock races + taper. Two full 8-station simulations during this block, plus pacing, fuelling, and mental rehearsal. Last week is taper. By the start line, you've already finished a Hyrox in your head eight times.

FT60 sent its first official Hyrox Squad to Bangalore — six members, three coaches, one rented van, one shared playlist. Everyone finished. Most beat their target time. The squad is now training for the next round of races, and we've got open spots for the 2026/27 cycle.

RACE-GRADE KIT. ON OUR FLOOR.

CONCEPT 2 SKIERG

Two SkiErg ergometers — the exact unit used at every Hyrox event globally. Train your 1km in real time, real splits.

CONCEPT 2 ROWERS

Three rowers. Race the 1000m at your goal split, recover, repeat. PM5 monitors with split-time logging.

SLED TRACK

50-metre dedicated sled lane. Race-weight sleds for both push (152/102kg) and pull (103/78kg) drills.

SANDBAGS & FARMERS HANDLES

20kg sandbags for lunges. 24kg/16kg farmers carry handles. Same spec as competition.

WALL BALL TARGETS

Regulation 9-foot (women) and 10-foot (men) targets painted on the warehouse wall. 6kg/4kg medicine balls.

BURPEE BROAD JUMP LANE

Marked 80-metre lane, taped at 1m intervals. Practice your jump distance and burpee transition daily.

BEFORE YOU SIGN UP.

I've never done a Hyrox. Can I still join the squad?
Yes. The 12-week program is built around the assumption that you've never raced before. Roughly half of every cohort is first-timers. Coach Hisham will assess you in week 1 and slot you into the right pace group.
Do I need to already be running?
No, but it helps. If you can run 1km without stopping, you'll have a comfortable starting point. If you can't, we'll build that base in weeks 1–4. Don't sign up the week before a race expecting miracles.
How much extra does the Hyrox squad cost?
Annual members get squad access included. Monthly/Quarterly members can opt into an 8-week or 12-week race-prep block for ₹6,500 / ₹9,000 respectively. Race entry fee, travel, and accommodation to Bangalore (or wherever) are separate.
Do you do team relays?
Yes — we field doubles and relay teams when there's interest. Hyrox doubles (2 athletes alternating stations) is the most popular among first-timers. WhatsApp us if you want to register a doubles team for the next season.
What about Hyrox Pro?
If you've crossed sub-75 in standard division, you're eligible for Pro (heavier sleds, heavier sandbag, etc.). We have one current Pro athlete training with us — Hisham programs his blocks personally.
